Casey Miller joined LUZCO in January of 2021 as a Civil Engineering Intern and utilized her management experience to contribute to the growth and development of the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) team. In May 2022, she graduated from the UMSL/WashU Joint Engineering Program with honors, earning a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Degree with a minor in Mathematics. As a Transmission & Distribution Line Engineering Lead, Casey collaborates with the Director of T&D Engineering to build and develop the team. During her time at LUZCO, she has used PLS-CADD to model and design over 30 miles of Subtransmission & Distribution line rebuilds for projects focused on storm hardening to enhance reliability and resiliency in the Eastern and Southeastern areas of the state for Ameren Missouri. These projects also involved reconductoring, OH and UG fiber design, OH and UG electric designs up to 34kV, installation of new and upgraded equipment, real estate support, construction support, joint-use coordination, and FRP Composite pole designs. In 2023, Casey led a team of engineers in designing the installation of over 50 G&W Style self-powering reclosers on Light Duty Steel Poles in Maine for Central Maine Power.
